CMAT 2012 Dates Announced


Bangalore: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced the dates for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for admissions in all programmes approved by AICTE for the year 2012-2013. The computer based test will be conducted from Feb 20-28, 2012 in 61 cities. Candidates can choose date and centre of their choice.

You can start applying online from 9th December 2011 on the website -www.aicte-cmat.in. Registration closes on 9th January2012. Three cities can be selected in order of preference. The test fee for general/ OBC category is Rs.1200 and for SC/St category, it is Rs.600. Cash can be deposited in any branch of State Bank of India. Fees once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstance. The admit card can be downloaded on 30th January, 2012.

Graduates in any discipline and those appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply for CMAT 2012.It will be a 3 hours online exam, consisting of 4 sections-Quantitative techniques, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, Data Interpretation and General Awareness. Each section will be carrying a total mark of 100, with 25 questions. One mark each will be deducted for wrong answers.

Candidates can practice for the CMAT by taking the trial tests which will be available from 12th December 2011 on http://www.aicte-cmat.in/. Results of the exam will be declared on 11th march 2012.
